The Philosopher reviewed in Canadian Notes and Queries

Canadian Notes & Queries published a full-page review of Malcolm Murray’s The Philosopher in their fall 2019 issue.

Thanks to Jeff Bursey for writing about this collection of one-act plays “that sustains interest for the solitary reader who can linger over deliberately off-kilter lines, bitterness and touches of menace….Satire is often conservative, its aim being to correct mores so that a rosier past might be resurrected. Murray’s own views aren’t what you’d call prelapsarian. Everyone is damaged and the universe is lawless.”

There’s also an essay by the late David Helwig in this issue so you may want to pick up a copy or you can swing by the ISP office and have a read.
